GEORGE TOWN: Fifteen Kampung Buah Pala families who were evicted from their homes to make way for a housing project two years ago can look forward to a new life at the site of their former homes which has been renamed Taman Buah Pala.
KUALA LUMPUR: Ninety-one individuals involved in planning the three separate rallies tomorrow have been barred from the city centre business district on that day.
Among those barred from entering the business district are Bersih 2.0 steering committee chairman Datuk S. Ambiga, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali.
KUALA LUMPUR: Lawyers acting for the six Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) members detained over the Bersih rally are dissatisfied over certain procedures taken by the police during meetings with their clients.
KUALA LUMPUR: Six detainees, including Sungai Siput member of Parliament Dr Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj, being held under the Emergency Ordinance, filed a habeas corpus application yesterday.
