SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Government will consider granting Temporary Occupation Licences (TOL) to Kampung Sungai Kerandang, Kuala Kubu Baru residents despite them living in the Bukit Tarek forest reserve.
Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said the permission was part of the planned solution when representatives from the state government and the Hulu Selangor Land and Mines Department met up with the villagers.

“The department will identify how many residents are living in the forest reserve and the size of the land they are occupying,” he added after chairing the state department heads monthly meeting on Monday.

“However, we believe that those who have already lived there will be given priority even though the granting of TOL is illegal as the land had been gazetted as a forest reserve land,” he said.
